TOP 5 Foods to Cut When Giving Up Sugar

You will never believe some of these foods that are laden with toxic SUGAR!!!

These can sabotage fat loss programs and keep your blood sugar yo-yo ing up and down. Think about your children too- what is in their lunch boxes?

  1. Fruit Juice
    • A glass of apple juice- whether fresh or not- contains 10-12 teaspoons of sugar. This is the same amount as in a can of soda.
  2. Dried fruit in mueslis and ‘health bars’
    • It’s 70% sugar
  3. Low fat Dairy
    • When they take out the fat, they put back in sugar, to make up for the lost flavour and texture. Sometimes they use other names for sugar too- like inulin.   4. Packaged sauces
    • Tomato sauce is top of this list!!! Full of as much sugar as chocolate sauce. Think of the kids on this one. Sweet chilli is another one to watch out for.
  5. Many ‘healthy’ treats- oats,muffins, banana breads, protein bars
    • Yes, they are FULL of sugar. You may as well have a chocolate bar instead of some protein bars out there!!! Certain cereals- Special K, Granolas. Think again people. Oats are not gluten free and spike your blood sugar if not eaten with a protein or good fat.
