MOVEMENT is the answer. Your brain literally benefits from the physical movement pumping cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around the nervous system. Feel good natural chemicals are also released like dopamine and endorphins.
You do not have to train for a marathon either.
Combat your sitting with things like:
- Taking the stairs instead of the lift or escalator
- Getting off a few bus/train stops before home
- Walking out to get lunch at work
- Setting reminders to stretch and change position at work. Visit the toilet or make some tea.
- Invest in a standing desk
